Circles
My current on-going Circles series is traveling to North Saint Louis!
La Mancha Coffeehouse at 2815 N 14th St 63107 (near Crown Candy) will display 14 of these paintings from April 2'nd through April 30'th. Normal business hours are Tuesday - Saturday 7am until 6:00pm. So come on out and have lunch at La Mancha!
In 2011, some of the Circles went to Café Nura in Webster Groves. Since the series is still a work-in-progress, more paintings will be on display at La Mancha then were at Café Nura. Also, some paintings that were seen before have been re-worked like these two.
Two paintings, Circles 6 and 7, were accepted into the annual Art Saint Louis XXVII- The Exhibition. Since the show has ended, these pieces will be re-integrated with the rest of the work on display at La Mancha.
I've been blogging about the development of this series here, and they are being offered for sale in the shop.
Trudger
Trudging to Joplin is currently on display at the Mystery Church at 514 S Main St just north of the area that received tornado damage this past summer. For Joplin Missouri, I selected works that were mostly uplifting and life affirming from my 366 daily drawing project, Trudger. A few also speak of safety and security. If you make it to Joplin this year to help volunteer for clean-up, make sure you check out the art shows on display near the center of town, enjoy a cup of coffee, (or an Instant Karma hot dog) and help support the community in any way you can. Make sure you call ahead before visiting to make sure they have someone there to let you in: 417.540.9091.
The first volume of the Trudger project, Greetings from Sun Dial Lake: a Trudging Odyssey Volume 1 is available for purchase through mixbook.com
The works on display in Joplin are being offered here in the shop.
